On Tuesday, September 20, 2016 representatives of the USDA Office of Rural Development met with Hurdland officials to announce the arrival of the town’s new early warning siren.
The siren was purchased with funds raised locally and a grant provided by USDA Rural Development. Local and USDA officials came together in Hurdland to mark the occasion and gave an intimate press conference in the shady bandstand at the Hurdland Town Square. You can watch a video of Janie Dunning, USDA Rural Development State Director, making the announcement below.
More information about the siren will be included in the September 28, 2016 edition of The Edina Sentinel.
