GARY MIKE BATLEY

Gary Mike Batley, 68 of Kahoka died Friday, January 3, 2020 at his home in Kahoka.

He was born April 13, 1951 the son of George and Faye Otto Batley in Keokuk.  On April 8, 2006 he was united in marriage to Yvonne Brock in St Francisville. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Travis Batley of Keokuk, four step-daughters, Rachel Incenogle of Wayland, Denise (Dennis) Montgomery of Hamilton, Deanna Brewer of Des Moines, Shelly (Lowell) Nichols of Luray, four step-sons, Derek Bollin of Kahoka and Damon Bollin of Keokuk, Jimmy (Michelle) Havens of Farmington and Cory (Chrystal) Havens of Firestone, Colorado, his brother, Larry (Sharon Bennett) Batley of Keokuk and Linda Hagmeier of Montrose along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.

Mike enjoyed riding his Harley, camping and fishing with his family on the river.

He loved to bbq meals and go out to eat with his family.

Mike took pride in his native American heritage and collected many native American items.

Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

A gathering of remembrance celebrating his life will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. Saturday, January 18 in the community building at senior housing in Kahoka.  Friends, family and neighbors are all invited at attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with medical expenses.

Vigen Memorial Home of Kahoka is assisting the family with arrangements.
