SANDRA KAY REDDING
Sandra Kay Redding, 71, of Kahoka died Monday, July 27, 2020 at Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.
She was born August 11, 1948 in Hurdland, Missouri, the daughter of Monroe and Alice Irene Winn Byrn.
On April 11, 1965, she was united in marriage to David Redding.
She is also survived by a daughter, Pamela Redding Miller (Tim) of Lake Ozark, MO, two sons, Marty Redding (Melissa) of New Windsor, IL and David Redding of Orion, IL, two grandsons, Adam Redding and Bradly Miller, two step grandchildren, Jacqueline Bruning and Will Bruning, two sisters, Alice Jean Mathena (Vernon) and Diana Sue Spory-Houston (Jim) of Kahoka. She is also survived by four brothers in law, John Redding (Linda) of Wyaconda, Jerry Redding (Julia) of Kahoka, Sam Redding (Teri) of Kahoka, and Tim Redding (Kaye) of Troy; five sisters in law, Kay Redding of Wayland, Deborah Malone (Pat) of Kahoka, Rebecca Moore (Harold) of Columbia, Elizabeth Redding of Dallas, TX, and, Martha Ellefritz (Randy) of Keokuk, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ruby “Judy” Smith, three brothers, Leonard Dee Byrn, Vernie Byrn and Larry “Tom” Monroe Byrn, three sisters in law, Zola Byrn, Susan Redding and Rae Joann Redding, four brothers in law, William Spory, Robert “Keith” Redding, William Redding and Robert Smith and nieces and nephews.
Sandra Kay enjoyed going to yard sales.
For her it was the thrill of the hunt to find that special item.
She could see a yard sale miles away.
She received the most pride raising her English Mastiff puppies.
Most of all she enjoyed being with her family especially her grandsons.
A funeral service was held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 1 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Pastor Dan Deatrick officiating.
Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.
Visitation was held after 1 p.m. Friday, July 31 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with the family meeting with friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
