Donald and Carol Scurlock will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on December 25. Their son Jerry (Margaret) Scurlock and daughter Joy (Scott) Aylward will hold an open house for them on December 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the Downing Christian Church. They have four grandkids, Jennifer (Brett) Tuttle, John (Sara) Scurlock, Kimberly (Zac) Campbell, and Laura (Quentin) Winters. They also have nine great grandkids and one great great grandkid.
They have worked together on their farm north of Downing their entire lives. They enjoyed camping, boating, hunting, and traveling with friends. Carol was famous for her cakes and chocolate chip cookies. Donald loves to hunt and put out Christmas decorations. They were active in the Downing Christian Church and always eager to help people in the community.
