Members of the Willing Workers 4-H Club gathered at Frazee Cemetery south of Wayland on Saturday, December 20, to honor local veterans through a Wreaths Across America ceremony. The observance was postponed one week due to winter weather.
Club members took part in the ceremony and placed remembrance wreaths at the graves of veterans, pausing to reflect on their service and sacrifice. By laying each wreath, participants helped ensure that those who served are remembered and honored by the community.
The local ceremony was part of the nationwide Wreaths Across America mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Across the country, volunteers gather each December to place wreaths at veterans’ cemeteries, reinforcing the importance of remembrance at the local level.
Organizers thanked the 4-H members and community supporters for their dedication in carrying on the tradition and honoring area veterans
