Knox County looked sharp during their January 2, 2026 People’s Bank and Trust Holiday Shootout girls’ game at Louisiana. The Lady Eagles rebounded well and caused Bowling Green (2-8) turnovers during a 49-21 varsity girls win.
The Lady Eagles improved to 4-6 on the season. Knox County jumped out to an early 8-2 lead. Bowling Green beat the Lady Eagles down the court and battled back within an 8-6 deficit with 2:47 remaining in the first quarter.
Adison Strong sank a pair of Eagle free throws followed by a zone defense fueled bucket and a 12-6 first quarter lead. Bowling Green turnovers fueled a good Knox County stretch.
The Lady Eagles led 22-10 at halftime. Kalli Parrish hammered several field goals home in the middle of the contest. Kalli Parrish scored a game high 13 Knox County points.
Noah Thrower scored all six Bowling Green points during the third quarter from the three point arc. Knox County man to man defense kept the Bobcats away from the rim during a 13-6 run to a 35-16 lead.
Kennedy Parrish and Kalli Parrish pout pouts on the board in the fourth quarter helping lead the way to a 49-21 win.
Kennedy Parrish backed Kalli Parrish’s 13 point effort with 12 KCHS points. Adison Strtong was 8-8 from the free throw line. Adison Strong was the third Lady Eagle in double digits with 12 points.
Lillie Penn scored six KCHS points. Melayna Miller and Myleigh Miller put in three points each.
Quinn Millinder and Nora Thrower led Bowling Green with nine points each.
