Kimberly “Kim” Kaizen Obituary

Kimberly “Kim” Kaizen, 65, of Hannibal, MO, passed away peacefully at 3:01 PM Friday, February 20, 2026, at her home.

Kim’s family will host a Life Celebration for her at a later date.

Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home of Hannibal, MO.

Kim was born July 13, 1960, in Hannibal, MO to Roger Lee Funkenbusch and Bertha Mae Rarden Funkenbusch.

Survivors include her twin sons, Kyle Kaizen (Katie) of Jacksonville, FL and Travis Kaizen (Sam) of Suffolk, VA; two brothers, Mark Funkenbusch (Kathy) and Roger Funkenbusch; four sisters: Rogena Canham, Carla Gorton (John), Marla Yates
(Joe), and Luann Farabee (Stephen); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Darryl Funkenbusch (Ninh).

Kim was a registered nurse at Quincy Medical Group, where she had practiced for the past 30 years touching many lives.

Away from work, Kim loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was especially fond of trips to the family farm. She also took pleasure in travels to Colorado and to New Zealand over the years. A talented cook and baker, Kim found joy in
cooking for others. Most of all Kim cherished the times she shared with those she loved.
Kim attended the Mission Hill Baptist Church in Palmyra, MO.
