Jonesburg, Missouri —On March 10, 2026, Bob Sellenriek was formally inducted into the Power and Communications Contractors Association (PCCA) Hall of Fame, recognizing a lifetime of leadership, innovation, and service to the communications construction industry.

The induction ceremony was a meaningful and celebratory event, highlighted by Bob’s acceptance speech, which was filled with heartfelt memories, deep pride for the organization, and moments of laughter that reflected both his humility and enduring passion for the industry. As part of the honor, he was presented with the traditional red jacket and a commemorative plaque, marking this monumental achievement.

A biography about Bob was read during the ceremony, outlining a remarkable journey that began with hard work on a farm at the age of 13 and evolved into a decades-long career shaping communications infrastructure across Missouri and the Midwest. Entering the telecommunications field at just 18 years old, Bob quickly built a reputation for determination, hands-on leadership, and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way.

In 1979, with a young family and limited resources, Bob founded Sellenriek Construction. What started with a small crew and uncertain beginnings grew into a respected, multi-location contractor supporting telecommunications and utility providers across multiple states. His leadership philosophy centered on investing in people, leading by example, and creating opportunities for others.  These values continue to define the organization today.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob’s impact extends deeply into his community. A longtime mayor of Jonesburg for 34 years, he has dedicated his life to public service, community development, and supporting countless local initiatives and organizations. His commitment to helping others, from mentoring industry professionals to assisting families in need, reflects the same integrity and character that earned him this prestigious recognition.

Since joining the PCCA in 1998, Bob has remained an active and engaged member, attending conferences nationwide, building industry relationships, and advocating for progress within the field.

Bob Sellenriek’s induction into the PCCA Hall of Fame honors not only his professional success, but also the legacy he has built through his family, his company, and the countless individuals he has mentored along the way. His story stands as a testament to the values of hard work, resilience, and service; principles that will continue to inspire future generations.
