Scotland County Girls Dominate Home Meet; Tigers Take Team Title Behind Balanced Effort
The Scotland County girls made the most of their home track Thursday, turning in a dominant performance to win the team title with 174 points, comfortably ahead of Clark County and the rest of the field.
The Lady Tigers showed strength across every phase of the meet — sprints, hurdles, distance, relays, and field events — using depth and consistency to separate from the competition. Deana McKinney led the charge in the hurdles, while Kierstyn Moore and Reagan Brewer anchored the distance events. In the sprints, Charlee Holland and Ava Stott added key points, helping Scotland pile up scoring finishes throughout the day.
On the boys side, Scotland County placed seventh with 34 points, highlighted by strong individual efforts from Mason Myers and contributions in relays and middle-distance races.
