Draft STIP Lists Route N Work, Several Future Schuyler County Projects

Schuyler County would see one construction project and several potential future bridge, culvert and roadway projects under MoDOT’s draft 2027-2031 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

The draft STIP, which covers fiscal years 2027 through 2031, is available for public review and comment through June 5. Comments may be submitted to MoDOT by calling 1-888-ASK-MODOT or emailing STIPcomments@ modot.mo.gov. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is expected to consider the final program July 1.

The Schuyler County project listed in the construction schedule calls for pavement improvements on Route N from the Iowa state line to U.S. 136 in Downing. The project, listed as NE0097, covers 7.98 miles and has an estimated total cost of $329,000. It is scheduled for a 2028 award.
