GAYLE “LYNN” PARTON

Gayle “Lynn” Parton, age 65, of Marshall, Missouri, formerly of Edina, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, in Marshall. Surrounded by her loved ones peacefully.

She was born September 1, 1960, in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Bernard Cleo “Barney” and Marjorie Louise “Marge” Duggins Parton.

Lynn was raised in Edina, Missouri, where she received her education graduating from Knox County High School. After High School she attended Moberly Area Community College where she graduated with a Registered Nursing Degree. Lynn worked as an RN at Fitzgibbon Hospital for 8 years on Med Surg, in Marshall, MO, from there she went and worked as a traveling nurse in Rhode Island, California, St. Louis MO, and then retired from traveling at The University Hospital in Columbia, MO, in 2012 where she worked in Oncology as an RN Supervisor for 5 years. Lynn enjoyed fishing, bowling, camping, bike rallies, live music, reality tv shows, cards, board games, holidays and family nights. But most of all she was devoted to spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Surviving are two children, Dustin Wayne Parton of Marshall, MO, and Kellie Parton (Zack) of Marshall, MO; one brother, Mike Parton (Stacy) of Columbia, MO; two sisters, Lisa Hostetter (Rusty) of Marshall, MO, and Brenda Sewell of Kirksville, MO; two grandchildren, Isaic Bigler (Rosie) and Lillie Parton both of Marshall, MO; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bernard “Dale” Parton; and one nephew, Michael Christopher Parton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Tanesha La’Shea House and her brother in-law, Darrell House will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery in Edina MO.

Casket bearers will be Dustin Parton, Isaic Bigler, Myron Bigler, Aaron Kisner, Tyson Mabrey, and Bob Parton.
