Mark Twain Casino and Guests Raise $8,023 for Fishing for Freedom
LA GRANGE, Mo. — July 16, 2026 – Mark Twain Casino is proud to announce a donation of $8,023 to Fishing for Freedom, made possible through a recent Donate & Play charitable promotion and the generosity of its guests.
During the promotion, guests were invited to make a donation of up to $100 to support Fishing for Freedom. As a thank-you for their generosity, Mark Twain Casino matched each donation with an equal amount in free slot play, allowing guests to support a meaningful cause while enjoying their visit.
Together, these contributions raised $8,023, which will help Fishing for Freedom continue its mission of honoring and supporting active-duty military members, veterans, and their families through outdoor recreational experiences and community support.
In addition to the fundraiser, Mark Twain Casino team members proudly volunteered during the annual Fishing for Freedom event at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, Illinois. Volunteers spent the day assisting veterans, helping them fish and ensuring they enjoyed a memorable day of camaraderie, recreation, and appreciation for their service.
