Green City employed a strong inside-outside game to hand conference rival La Plata a 49- 39 loss in the girls championship game of the 2025 Novinger Tournament. Jaryn Hatcher helped Green City control the boards along with a game high 23 point night.
Junior guard Macy Jeffries tossed in 22 points along with a ball handling and defensive presence on the perimeter. Green City led 7-4 after the first quarter and were pretty much in control most of the contest
Jaryn Hatcher fired in a three pointer from the wing for a 15-4 lead with 5:21 showing on the second quarter clock. La Plata was pretty much limited to one shot on the boards.
Green City led 22-13 at the half. La Plata was cold from the perimeter in much of the second half. Green City led 40- 25 after three quarters. Layne Mack hit a Bulldog three ball for a 48-37 score with 1:58 to play in the game.
Green City (3-0) held an 18-110 advantage in converted field goals. The guard oriented Bulldogs sank five three pointers to three for Green City.
Layne Mack led La Plata with 13 points. Hailey Mitchell and Emmigin Travis scored eight points each for La Plata.
Clare Gordon and Kasey Lindquist added two Green City points each.
