Miller Stays Hot, Panthers Take Down Monroe City

Ty Haskins

MONROE CITY — Raeson Miller delivered a perfect day at the plate, leading Palmyra to a 6-2 win over Monroe City on April 16.

Miller went 4-for-4, highlighted by a solo home run in the third inning that helped spark a decisive stretch for the Panthers.
After falling behind early, Palmyra answered in the third inning. Miller’s home run tied the game, and the Panthers kept the pressure on with back-
to-back doubles from Logan Kroeger and Ty Haskins to take a 3-1 lead.
Palmyra continued to build from there. Miller added an RBI double later in the game, and Kroeger brought home another run as the Panthers steadily extended their advantage.

On the mound, Miller also earned the win, working four innings and allowing just two runs — only one earned — while striking out three. Brodie Webb was strong in relief, tossing three scoreless innings to secure the victory.
The Panthers were sharp defensively, turning three double plays behind their pitchers to keep Monroe City from gaining momentum.
Offensively, Palmyra showed balance throughout the lineup, but it was Miller who set the tone with his four-hit performance.
Kroeger and Haskins added key extra-base hits during the pivotal third inning rally.
