Upcoming Planned Roadwork for Northeast Missouri, April 27–May 7

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced a schedule of general highway maintenance projects across northeast Missouri from April 27 through May 7.
Motorists can view road closures and work zones on the department’s Traveler Information Map at traveler.modot.org/map/.
Officials caution that inclement weather may affect scheduled work, and additional moving operations may occur throughout the region.
Drivers are urged to buckle up, avoid distractions, slow down and move over in work
zones.
Marion County

  • U.S. Route 24 Outer Road — May 7: Closed for patching operations from County Road 313 to Missouri Route 6, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Missouri Route 79 northbound (Mark Twain Avenue) — April 22 through July 1: Closed for the Hannibal stormwater construction project from North Street to
    Reservoir Street. The closure began at 12 a.m. April 22 and continues through 12 a.m. July 1.
  • Missouri Route 168 — May 6: Closed for patching operations from Route Z in Shelby County to Route D in Marion County, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Route D — April 27–29: Closed for patching operations from Missouri Route 156 to Missouri Route 168, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
  • Route D — April 30–May 1 and May 4: Closed for seal coat operations along the
    same stretch, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
  • Route M — April 27: Closed for patching operations from Route A to Route D, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Route M — May 5: Closed for seal coat operations from Route D to Route A, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Route W — April 20: Closed for patching operations from U.S. Route 61 to Missouri Route 168, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
