Two Injured in U.S. 24 Crash West of Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Two Quincy, Illinois, residents were injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 24 west of Hannibal.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:17 p.m. June 11 on U.S. 24, three miles west of Hannibal.
The Patrol reported a 2015 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 35-year-old Quincy woman, was traveling east when it merged into the opposite lane and struck a westbound 2017 Peterbilt 389 driven by a 47-year-old Laclede man.
The driver of the Jeep and a 55-year-old Quincy man who was a passenger in the vehicle both suffered minor injuries. Both were transported by Marion County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital.
The driver of the Peterbilt was not listed as injured.
The Jeep sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Robert’s Towing.
The Peterbilt sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
The crash was investigated by Trooper D. Johnson, who was assisted by Trooper Schafer and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department
