GERALDINE (BYRN) KIMMEL

Geraldine (Byrn) Kimmel, 93, of Memphis, TN (formerly of Queen City, MO) passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on June 10, 2026.

Born January 13, 1933, in Schuyler County, MO, Geraldine was the daughter of Corbert and Laura (Davis) Byrn. On November 6, 1953, Geraldine was united in marriage to Keith Kimmel.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, her parents and her brother, Walter Lecen Byrn.

Geraldine is survived by four children, Judith Kimmel of Memphis, TN, Duane Kimmel(Lisa) of Royal Oak, MI, David Kimmel(Mona) of Sterling Heights, MI, and Steven Kimmel(Rebecca) of Del Rio, TN; sister Carrol Pratte of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, Raymond, Summer, Travis, Benjamin, David, Jr., and Luke; as well as four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Hannah, Cash and Caden; two great-great-grandchildren, Ellis and Owen.

Geraldine was a graduate of Bible Grove High School with the class of 1952. Geraldine loved the farm but made a home for her family wherever they moved, to various locations in Iowa, then back to Missouri. Geraldine was a faithful member of the Martinstown Church of Christ until she moved to Tennessee, where she attended the Church of Christ at White Station in Memphis.

A memorial service will be held at some point in the future.
