PHS Science Olympiad Competes at State Competition

Nine members of the Palmyra High School Science Olympiad team attended the State Competition at University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO on Saturday, April 18. These students qualified for the state competition by earning 4th place as a team at the Northeast Regional competition at Truman State University in February.
Aubrey Bier, Livia Bross, Marci Bross, Cayley Duppong, Addy Knochel, Levi Miller, Eli Schneider, Katie Tanner and Miranda Wise competed against over 34 public and private schools of all sizes from across the state of Missouri in 16 test-based, lab-based and construction events. Finishing just out of the top 10 were those in the following events: Designer Genes (Marci Bross & Katie Tanner, below) – 11th place, Dynamic Planet (Livia Bross) – 12th place, Rocks and Minerals (Marci Bross & Eli Schneider, below) – 11th place. All students did a fantastic job representing Palmyra High School! The students were supported by an incredibly kind donation from Northeast Missouri Power Electric Cooperative.
