Local FBLA Members Compete at National Level, Henggeler Finishes 5th

Palmyra FBLA members, Marciana Bross and Allie Henggeler competed at the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas, June 28-July 2.
Two Palmyra Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members, Allie Henggeler and Mariana Bross, competed at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas over June 28-July 2.
Bross competed in the Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure objective test. This event included 100 questions covering a general working knowledge of Robert’s Rules of Order and National FBLA bylaws.
Henggeler competed in the Banking and Financial Systems event. She completed a 100-question exam covering common banking concepts/practices, financial regulations, and investment tools. After completing the exam, Hengeller finished in the top-15 of over 150 test-takers, advancing her to a final round role-play. In the role-play,
she was given a real-life banking scenario with 20 minutes to prepare a 7-minute recommendation to judges. She earned 5th place in the nation at the National FBLA Awards of Excellence ceremony, the evening of July 2.
Henggeler and Bross both qualified to compete at the National level in their respective events after qualifying at the state level in Springfield in mid-April. Henggeler finished fourth and Bross second at the state level in their events.
When not competing, the members attended the opening general session, leadership and development workshops, and open performance finals. Palmyra FBLA is advised by Sean Frankenbach.
