Schuyler County R-1 Graduates Class Of 2026

QUEEN CITY, Mo. — Schuyler County R-1 High School celebrated the Class of 2026 during commencement exercises Sunday, May 17, at the school in Queen City.

The ceremony opened with the processional, followed by welcome and introductions from Superintendent Shawn Corbett. Diane McClain presented academic honors, Stacy O’Haver presented scholarships, Colin Oliver gave the salutatorian address and Jaxson Kaden gave the valedictorian address. Gabriella Walters presented the senior slide show, Jill Moncrief presented diplomas and flowers, and Principal Ed Koser presented the Class of 2026.

Class officers were Cohan Meade, president; Jaxson Kaden, vice president; Naomi Newland, secretary; and Ashton Applegate, treasurer.

The class motto was, “May life give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” The class song was “Memories” by Maroon 5, and the class colors were maroon and gold.

Members of the Schuyler County R-1 High School Class of 2026 were Memphis Ague, Sadie Allen, Kaia Amaro, Asher Applegate, Jayde Baker, Daniel Warren Blaine, Katelyn Blanchard, Brody Bragg, Huck Brown, Gage Brownell, Brandon Burns, Madison Byrn, Ava Crawford, Chance Isaac Cullers-Arnold, Taylor Erwin, Kaden Farley, Hannah Farris, Aiden Felton, Garrett Hamilton, Tacey Hill, Jaxson Kaden, Andrew Kelso, Aiden Kelso, Drayven Koser, Kole Lindquist, Chyloe Macomber, Lathan Martin, Cohan Meade, Cadence Meeker, Marcus Miller, Colin Oliver, Naomi Newland, Kesler Parrish, Dawson Poe, Deacon Schoonover, Craig Snider, Kaden Snowbarger, Caden Veatch, Gabriella Walters, Nikolai Walters, Caedence Watt, Brody Weaver, Jared “Gus” Williams and Mason Windy.

The Schuyler County R-1 Board of Education includes Jill Mooncrief, president; Verl Gordy, vice president; Andrew Akers, secretary; Tiffany Newland, treasurer; and members Marta Aeschliman, Wanda Homer, Marti McGoldrick and Patrick Robinson.

The ceremony marked the close of the graduates’ high school careers and the beginning of new paths in college, careers, military service and other opportunities. As family members and friends looked on, the seniors were recognized for their achievements, memories and contributions to Schuyler County R-1 High School.
