 Bevier (8-0) scored six runs in the sixth inning and went on to defeat Highland (8-3) by a final score of 8-1 in the championship game of the 2007 North Shelby Softball Tournament. The first place game was a battle of 2005 Class 1 and Class 2 softball championship programs.

The Highland Cougars Football Team dropped their season opener 50-12 to the Macon Tigers.

   The Highland Lady Cougars played the Marion County Lady Mustangs in the third place game of the Knox County Varsity Softball Tournament and walked away with a 10-0 win to improve their record to 4-2 on the season.

The Canton Lady Tigers take advantage of a Lady Cougars error and a controversial call by the umpire to shutout the Lady Cougars and grab a 3-0 win.  The loss drops the Lady Cougars record to 3-2 on the season. 

 The Highland Lady Cougars took advantage of several wild pitches, pass balls and six errors by the Knox County Lady Eagles to score five times and post a 5-1 victory.  The win gives the Lady Cougars a record of 5-2, while the loss drops the Lady Eagles to 4-4 on the season.

 The Highland Lady Cougars won their first game in the Knox County Varsity Softball Tournament by defeating the Scotland County Lady Tigers 4-3.  The win gave the Lady Cougars a record of 3-1 on the season.

   Coming off a wild 12-inning 9-8 victory over the Clark County Lady Indians the Lady Cougars extended their winning streak to five games before falling to Bevier 8-1 in the Championship game of the North Shelby Softball Tournament.  The loss gives the Lady Cougars a record of 8-3 on the season.

The Clark County Indians opened their 2007 season at home Friday, September 1, with a victory over Tri Rivers Conference opponent North Shelby.  The Indians demonstrated their speed and agility, using several big plays to roar past the Raiders 56-22.

The Clark County Lady Indians brought their bats to the Tuesday, August 28 home matchup against Monroe City.  The Lady Indians picked up 10 hits in the 9-3 victory over the Lady Panthers.
