North Shelby Takes Action Packed Softball Game From Knox County Ladies
North Shelby took over a September 13 Tri-Rivers Conference softball game at Knox County during the final four innings and posted an 8-3 victory. The contest was filled with entertaining, but sometimes sloppy play from both sides.

Brashear took a four run lead after two innings of a September 14 Tri-County Conference baseball game at Green City. Jacob Shipman fanned five batters in five innings pitched, picking up the victory during a 9-2 decision. Kale Watson recorded a save, fanning five batters in two innings pitched.

Brookfield remained unbeaten on the 2007 season with a 41-8 varsity football victory at Knox County on September 14. Dustin White rushed for 101 yards and scored four touchdowns leading the hard nosed Bulldog running game. Colby Bailey scored twice during the first half for Brookfield.

The Clark County Lady Indians battled to a 1-0 loss to the Brookfield Lady Bulldogs at home on Thursday, August 30. Pitcher Brook Wheeler gave up only five hits and collected four strikeouts in the contest. The only score of the game was in the third inning when scored on a Lady Indian error.

Knox County limited Scotland County to four first downs and 65 yards from scrimmage during a 38-0 whitewashing at Ella Campbell Field. The September 7 varsity football contest saw Keenan Gillaspy score three Eagle touchdowns and pass for 134 yards unofficially. Zach Parrish connected with Cody Morgenstern on a 20 yard halfback option pass and rush 24 times for 110 yards.

Knox County was able to limit a strong Schuyler County start to an August 31, Tri-Rivers Conference varsity football opener for both teams and post a 34-25 victory. The Rams dominated the first quarter and the beginning portion of period two before Knox County was able to get their attack untracked. The Eagles made plays to win the football game and competed very well all night long.

Aron Taylor homered in the Canton sixth inning and drew a game winning RBI walk in the eighth helping Canton to a 5-4 extra inning win over Brashear. The September 6 contest featured Abby McKim stroking a bases clearing triple in the Brashear sixth.
